This Privacy Policy describes how ConTrack ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using ConTrack, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Contraction Data: Timestamps of contractions you record (start time, end time, duration). This data is stored locally on your device only.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

Device Information: Through Google AdMob, we may collect device identifiers, IP address, operating system, and device model for advertising purposes.
Usage Data: App usage statistics and crash reports through standard mobile analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Core Functionality

Store contraction timing data locally on your device
Calculate contraction duration and frequency
Display contraction history

3.2 AI Summary Feature (Optional)

When you generate an AI summary:

Your contraction data is temporarily sent to our secure Supabase Edge Function
The Edge Function processes the data and sends it to Anthropic's Claude API for summary generation
Anthropic processes the data to generate a formatted summary but does NOT retain your data
The summary is returned to your device and the data is not stored on our servers
This feature is entirely optional - you can use the app without ever generating a summary

3.3 Advertising (Free Version Only)

Display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and usage data
You can remove ads by purchasing the Premium version

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

4.1 Google AdMob

Purpose: Display advertisements in the free version
Data Collected: Advertising ID, device information, IP address, usage data
Privacy Policy: Google Privacy Policy

4.2 Supabase

Purpose: Process AI summary requests through Edge Functions
Data Collected: Contraction data temporarily during summary generation only
Data Retention: No data is stored; only processed in real-time

4.3 Anthropic Claude API

Purpose: Generate formatted summaries of contraction data
Data Collected: Contraction timestamps and durations for summary generation
Data Retention: Anthropic does not retain data sent via API according to their data usage policy

4.4 Apple App Store / Google Play Store

Purpose: Process in-app purchases for Premium features
Data Collected: Payment information (handled entirely by Apple/Google)
Note: We do not have access to your payment information

5. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: All contraction data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms
No Cloud Sync: Version 1.0 does not include cloud synchronization - your data stays on your device
AI Processing: When generating summaries, data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
No Long-Term Storage: We do not store your contraction data on our servers

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Data Deletion

Delete individual contractions within the app
Clear all data using the "Clear All" button
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data

6.2 AI Summaries

AI summary generation is entirely optional
You can use all core timing features without ever generating a summary
Free tier includes 3 summaries per month; Premium includes unlimited

6.3 Advertising

Opt out of personalized ads through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Advertising; Android: Settings > Google > Ads)
Purchase Premium to remove all advertisements

6.4 GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to:

Access your data (view within the app)
Rectify your data (edit/delete within the app)
Erase your data (clear all or uninstall)
Object to data processing (don't use AI summaries)

6.5 CCPA Rights (California Users)

California residents have the right to:

Know what personal information is collected
Delete personal information
Opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)

7. Children's Privacy

ConTrack is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
Updating the "Last Updated" date
Displaying a notification within the app for significant changes

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

9. Data Breach Notification

Since your contraction data is stored locally on your device and we do not maintain a database of user data, the risk of a data breach from our systems is minimal. However, if a breach occurs that affects AI summary processing, we will notify affected users promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

When you use the AI summary feature, your data may be processed by services located in different countries:

Supabase: USA
Anthropic: USA

These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards including encryption and contractual obligations.
